Prayer is one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind.

Prayer is the life of the inner man.

Prayer is more than a form of words; it has an inner heart. It often seems no more than a heart to heart talk to God; but how many things are made right by such a talk?

Prayer may be only a tear, or a deep silent thought.

Prayer is acceptable under all conditions and times.

Prayer moves the loving Father to the needs of His children.

Prayer is a sure key to heaven’s door, but only by faith can a soul turn the lock.

Prayer is a means and not an end. The help we crave and the help we receive is only a small part‹a suspended realm and God and the things of God are made real.

The great gulf fixed by sin and death is crossed again and again by prayer, over Christ as the bridge.

Proper prayer is a mighty engine of war; it can reach around the world; it can touch the highest heaven and shake the lowest hell.

Prayer is a bridge to every chasm, abyss, gulf, and separation of time which otherwise could not be crossed.

Prayer removes the smallest and greatest hindrances or barriers, builds and carves the most magnificent of temples.

Prayer can pierce the darkest night, extend around the world, bring to light the most concealed and obscure, can touch the highest heaven, and break the strongest habits of man.

Prayer is a Jacob’s ladder with God’s angels ascending and descending taking up the petitions and bringing down the answers.

He who has never added fasting to prayer has not fully learned to feast with God.

Real prayer carries at its girdle the keys of knowledge and of all mysteries.

Prayer with faith in Jesus will meet Satan any time or place and gain the victory.
“Men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” (Luke 18:1).

“Pray without ceasing.” I Thess. 5:17.

“All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matt. 21:22).

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matt 26:41.

“The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.” I Pet. 4:7.
