“What will ye that I shall do unto you?”  Matthew 20:32

Two blind men cried out to Jesus as He passed their way. The crowd rebuked the two men in need but they cried even louder. Jesus heard them and stood still. He then asked them “What will ye that I shall do unto you?” The blind men requested that their eyes be opened. Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes, and they received their sight.

How many times people live with their needs and try to survive, when they could cry out to Jesus and receive help. Jesus is able to minister to every need that we might have. Man is limited in what he is able to do, but Christ has unlimited power and ability. Jesus came and died for the purpose of helping mankind in their troubles. Man was never designed to live without the help of our creator and Savior. So, let us not bear our burdens and problems in silence. Let us follow the example of the blind men and cry out to God.

Jesus is still hearing the cries of people today. When we open our hearts and cry in our need to Christ, He will still stop and take time for us personally. Jesus had compassion on the blind men and He will have compassion on you and me. Let us never allow the direction and pressure of the crowd to deter us from seeking God.

What would your answer be to Christ if He asked you today, “What would you like me to do for you?” Most of us would unburdened our hearts to Him and ask for His help. Jesus said “you have not because you ask not.” Ask the Lord specifically to help you with the burden that you have, and in accordance to the Word of God, you will not be disappointed. Unburden your soul to the Savior, and allow Him to do the work that He came to do.
