"That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:10

These are a few of the words Paul spoke expressing his love and fervent desire for the saints in Colosse. The zeal and purpose in this passage are inspiring to the believer.

Let us be fruitful in our Christian experience. Put your faith into action, your love into deed. The heart's desire of the saint of God is to be fruitful and active in the Lord's service. Let us maintain a keen vision of our purpose and set about to fulfill it. The Lord has an explicit plan for your life. It is for you to be about His business where you have been placed. It is not about planning for a future time of service when things are convenient or ideal. Let us bear fruit today.

Paul also spoke of increasing in the knowledge of God. Cultivate a hunger for God's word. You will find it to be addictive. Seek out passages which intrigue you. Hide God's word in your heart. It will serve as weaponry against the onslaughts of Satan. Increase your knowledge about God and His plan for your life. "Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you". If you seek God with a pure motive of heart, He will be found of you.

We are a blessed people. To have intimate access to the God of creation, yet to treat it with casualness or indifference is a great tragedy. There is no greater joy or than to walk hand in hand with God, growing closer and closer until the day we see Him face to face.
