“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness…” II Peter 1:3

In His infinite love for mankind, God has made provision to minister to every need that we encounter in life. When someone responds to the call of God and forsakes sin, God has a vested interest in their well-being. He is concerned and touched with the needs that we have in life, whether they be spiritual, physical, emotional, financial, etc. According to His divine power, all the help that we need can be found in Christ. We need never again walk through the trials and battles of life alone. The Lord will be there to sustain and strengthen us in our weakness with grace, comfort, and help.

As the world searches and searches for help in their problems, may every child of God take full advantage of the provision that is in our Lord Jesus. Sometimes we suffer and worry needlessly because we fail to look to the Lord to meet the need we have. I am reminded of the story of man who spent the night at someone else’s house. During the night, he was very cold. He was very uncomfortable and restless as he tried to endure the cold through the night. In the morning, he looked beside his bed and saw a pile of blankets. His host had made provision for the cold. He needed never to have had the unpleasant night.

How often we try to endure the trials of life and endeavor to make it through. We need to remember that God has given us ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness. That covers every facet of our life. When we are in need, let us turn our hearts in prayer to God and seek His help. The provision that God has made will enable every child of God to find a source of joy, peace, and rest in every situation and difficulty encountered in this journey of life.
